They're not what they used to be since Audiobahn got ahold of them.

They do look very very nice.  But as mentioned before, their quality has taken a downfall as of late.  You can do better in my opinion.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

the last one says 1800w @ 2ohms mono.

Are we 100% sure that audiobahn now owns them and is producing things their way?

I am looking for an amp for my dual 2ohm subwoofer rated at 450w.

The hifonics zeus zx6000 is 600w and should do the trick

or
JBL GTO 601.1 is 424 watts RMS x 1at 4 ohms and 580 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms
or
Anyone else have a recommendation??

Thanks!

zeus is 600w @ 4ohms

Is there a significant disadvantage to running @ 4ohms compared to 1ohm with subwoofers?

If the amp is stable to 1ohm, should I trust that?  I know heat is the primary concern

The GTO amps are nice. If it was me, I'd get the JBL over the Hifonics.

4ohms is usually better SQ and is easier on the amp. 1ohm is more power, but alot of people will say 1ohm will make the amp over heat easier and makes it easy for subs to distort.

I'm trying to figure out which amp is most cost effective.  The jbl might be out of my price range  =(

I'll say this from experience; Hifonics may not make the amps they used to make, but I have the 2200d Brutus rated at 2200 watts rms at 1 ohm, and I'm sure it don't put out that much power, but it is very strong. For the money it costs, you can't beat its performance. Since Maxxsonics got control the Hifonics and Autotek line has been hurt. This is happening all over the industry with the rare exceptions like US Amps, McIntosh and a few more companies. If you want an amp that is a bargain and better than most, I'd recommend Hifonics.
