Get a new CPU from Canadian Tire and see if it does the same thing. IF it does, then 99% of the time it will be in your wiring. This way, you can at least make sure that it isn't the CPU that is the problem.

Hi, @all
at first sorry for my poor english, but I do not come from Canada or the USA.
I have nearly the same Problem with my Prostart CT 3360.
But i be sure that wiring is OK, because after the Installation the system works. But if i take a ride with the Car, after 10min nothing works, no Door lock or unlock, nothing...Then i have to wait around 20min ,everything work fine again. I can start and stop the engine, lock and unlock the doors. So i decide to reset the Unit. And now i can´t programm the Transmitter again. Nothing work except Ignition Doors un/lock.
Then i go to Diagnostic Mode
1. flashes 3 times ( Hardware reset, could be ok because i reset the Unint.)
2. flashes 15 times ???? in the manual the explanation stops at 10 flashes.
And the Led flashes all the Time. Is that ok ??
For me it looks like the transmitter doesn´t work or the antenna. Did i have a chance to find that out??
Thank you for your help.
89 BMW 325i E30, Prostart 3360 manual transmission, Brake Pedal is hot wired.

It seams to me that you have a interuped power supply, try taking +12v from battery or a ture power supply.

I still can't get this POS to work. I took the whole thing out, and all the connections seem correct, it just won't program the remote. After talk with customer support ( cough cough, ya right ) they gave me a third "method" of programming with pushs, turns , and timing, that all led to nothing.
Anyone in the Vancouver area who wants to make $40 come and program this stupid thing for me. Its about 2 weeks from being thrown in the river.

thats one of the reasons i hate the autostart product...you have to "learn" the remotes before you can do anything and then you have to jump thru 2.7 hoops to learn tach.... whereas you install a DEI piece, the remotes are already learned and you start the vehicle and hold in the programming button till the LED comes on and you've just learned tach... how civilized..... add to that plugging in a Bitwriter to do all programming and it becomes almost a no-brainer.....

i have found the timing on these is critical... when it says " hold the pin switch down for 4 seconds" etc    it wants it for EXACTLY 4 seconds... use a stop watch or the clock on the wall.....

His other method was virtually the same, but instead of ON/OFF/ON/OFF, Press, release, wait, press, release, five flashes.
It was ON/OFF once, then press and hold UNTIL you get five flashes.
Neither had any effect. I can fiddle with the on/off/on and end up having the remote flash the PL. I press lock, they flash once, I press it again, they flash once. Its not in any mode or doing anything but it tells me the receiver is getting the signal.
No matter what though, after the ON/OFF, the LED is never flashing, so I've never gotten it into the mode necessary for programming the remote.
I'm timing it pretty carefully, but they give no times for how long after its in programming mode to start, or how long to leave it in the ON position, then how long in the OFF, or how long after that sequence to press the remote.
