I recentlly installed a ungo 131s into a 01' Buick Regal.  This car has a simple VATS system so an easy resistor was all I needed for the bypass.  The system I installed is new to me, I have never used Ungo, but heard good things so I tried it.  Unfortunatelly my friend had another installer lined up that bailed with the instructions.  I wasnt able to even download the proper book but installed it anyway using the wire codes on the back of the brain box.  Heres the problem:  Everything works, locks, trunk, lights, but when I start it it will run 5-10sec.  then quit acting like the factory security or tach sense isnt working, but on its 2nd atempt it starts and runs fine.  My resistor is correct, but is there any tach learning sequence, the volt sence did the same thing, or are there programming I need to do.  Most of the systems I use have a tach learning sequence, I.E. Compustar, designtech, viper, but I have no paperwork!!!  Can any of u experienced installers think back a few years and maybe help me out!!!!  A install book would be great!

Thanks a lot,

Jeremy,

installer, 12 years

Call 1800-go-clarion. Its been about 4 years since I installed ungo products. Some of the older (non dei) units have a green tach sense wire that needed to wrapped around a spark plug wire 5 times.
