automate am6 remote start

I'm not sure if you already have this in the glovebox or it's just the owner's manual you have. This may help you track down the remote start problem. http://directechs.com/guides/manuals/ig/automate/N562A_07-05.pdf Check to see if the green and purple wires for the starter are hooked up. How are you getting the remote start sequence to initiate? Can you initiate it while the key is turned to on but not running? If the starter is not engaging during remote start then try this. Initiate the remote start sequence and then quickly put the key in and start it. Are the parking lights on? Turn the key to off and see if it might stay running. You may not be able to initiate the start sequence while the key is in due to the ignition sense disabling the remotes. You will have to time is just right. This would at least narrow the problem down and tell us if the other functions are working and it's just not engaging the starter during remote start.Steve G
