I got an autostart  remote start  as-1424 433Mhz in an 05 Pontiac Grand Prix

He has a service security  soon indecator on:

CODES:

B1380  DEVICE IGNITION ACCESSORY CIRCUIT
B3055  NO TRANSPONDER MODULATION

I clear them and it will eventully come back on. I switched out the brain and interface ,PKU-GM from trilogix, but it still keeps coming back. The engineers do not have a clue this is the only car they are aware of having this issue.

It is a good customer so I am not too worried but I want to get it taken care of for him.

So any ideas let me know.

Oh and I have been doing this stuff for over 7 years so I know what I am doing. This is about the only car that I have been competely stumped on. Nothing seems to correct it.

You may want to double-check the wiring connections on the bypass/interface module. (Keep in mind that the wiring diagram itself is not always correct for the particular vehicle it's being installed on).

Problem is it is a 2 wire hookup. One wire goes to Ign. and other to the GWR.

The car cannot see two keys at the same time, or the message will come up on the dash.
Use the car's keysense wire, to trigger a relay, so that the bypass module does not operate when there's a key in the ignition.
Once that repair has been made, cycle the key from Off to Run 7 times---this will clear the message from the display, although the code will still be stored in history for the next 100 ignition cycles.

Ok, he came by today. It kicks on with just remote starting it.  Car still starts and runs. Other times it doesnt come on.

Well I just did a 06 LaCrosse that is basicly the same and a 05 Grand Prix but using Omega remote starters with the same interfaces.  It maybe just the remote start. We will find out if either of the other 2 come back with the same problem.

I did an '05 Grand Prix with the PKU-GM & a Compustar 1WAM-S and had no issues with it. Customer came in today and I asked if there was any problems and he told me nothing that he's noticed. Only thing that I can think of is make sure that the GOWR wire is sending a solid ground to the PKU-GM and that the system doesn't see two keys.
BTW: Make sure that you have enough wounds of wire for the PKU-GM for the signal to be induced into the key cylinder. What I've done in the past with other vehicles is get rid of the fat wire that comes with the PKU-modules and I use a single strand of telephone wire about 24 " long and wind it up into the key cylinder. Thi works for me 100% of the time.

With the PKU-GM units I have all have the long single wire. Not the old fat ones. So I can loop it 4-5 times with no problems. I think he was fine for like a month or 2 possibly 3. Then he started having a problem. I never had an autostart unit, let alone 2, have an issue not being able to energize the interfaces correctly.

Well time will tell for the others. Then swap out his. Let me know if you do have an issue so I know.

Thanks.

I have the same problem in an 04 Grand Prix. Never experianced any problem for almost a year, then the service theft system came on in the info center. tried the key on and off for seven times and did not clear the message. Am going to try and test the PKU-GM and make sure it is only active in remote start. Any other ways of clearing the message, nothing on the scan tool trouble codes. This car has a crimestopper rs-900VII

To get the codes out you need to get into the BCM. You need a scan tool and enter in the vin. Find out what codes you have first. Using the scanner you can erase the codes but they will end up coming back.

When I did the 05 I used the 2nd ignition output to power the PKU-GM and the ground while running also.
