i dealt with a few cliffords

like the guys say range is as it says on the box.

i get great range out of my clifford and the antenna is under the dash..

Nothing but headaches with DEI antennas going bad. Three in a row once.......and every wire was double checked and was fine. It's no coincidence they switched to the stubby now.

Also, watch the cars/trucks with tinted windows. Some tints have metal UV blocker film and severely reduce range. My friend had this tint on his Subaru STI, lousy range. Pulled it off and had this new type put on. Perfect range now. I don't do tint so I can't give exact specs.

Mercedes even has a tech bulletin about metal film tint affecting radio reception.
