ok here is what i was wondering about, and ive asked jl about this and they have not responded to me and its been about 3 weeks. with a setup of 1000/1 amp and 3 12w3v2 d2;s if they are hooked up into a 1.33 ohm load is that goind to make a diffrence in the amp such as is it going to overhead or blow fuses or blow the amp becuse they say 1000 watts between 1.5 - 4 ohms so were does that leave the 1.33 that im looking to set it up at?

dont go under the specified impedence of the amp or your warranty will be void the slash series amps run at 1000 watts rms at 1.5 threw 4 ohms so its dosnt matter what you have just keep it in that resistance area

Your warranty will only be void if you tell them you had it wired at 1.3ohms........If that amp is stable at 1.5 ohms, it should swing 1.33. If not, it'll go into protection and you'll have to change your setup to get it to run properly. If it won't run that low you might want to consider buying an amp that is 1 ohm stable....

ive run 2 w3v2's to a 500/1 at 1 ohm and it ran with no problem. it was not that good of an idea tho because the amp puts out 500watts 1.5-4ohms..but check this out...https://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp...that will give u a 3ohm load and 1000watts..

i kno i can hook them up at a 3 ohm load but i want to hook them up at the lower impedency becuse they are gonna hit harder then, or is that not right the lower the ohms the harder the subs are gonna hit, cuz otherwise i can just get a 3 dual 4 ohm voic coils instead of the 2 ohm voice coils.

lower resistance does mean more watts but not for jl...they made it so u could hook up 1.5-4 ohms and still get the same power..anything lower is not recommended..if you want more bass ide get another w3v2..ive had 4 on a 1000/1 and it hit pretty hard..but i upgraded to the w6v2s

so it wont matter if i hook all 3 od the w3v2's up at 1.33 ohms or 3 ohms it is going to hit just as hard either way?

JL amps are regulated, and they put out max rms between 1.5 ohms and 4 ohms so a 3 ohm load will recieve the same power as a 1.5 ohm or 4 ohm load. Besides, a few hundred watts won't make and audible difference, but pushing your amp to its limits will.

Why lie about it to begin with? And it is lying. Sorry, that just bugs me. (steps off soap box).

I agree with the others, run it at 3 ohms and you'll be just as happy and shouldn't have to worry about any problems with your setup. Enjoy 1000/1 And 3 12W3V2's -- posted image.
