it should flash and chirp once for lock and two flash and chirp for unlock.
does the lights come on flashing or constant during remote start?
how is the resoponder working for you?
are you sure you have the white wire in the main harness h1 hooked up right? check the fuse in that wire.

Yes the lights com on constant during R/S. I havent put on the responder ant yet but i will this weekend. The car is a 2006 Explorer when I bought it I had the dealer install a remote start as part of the deal only thing is they sent it to a shop and had them put it in I dont really care to take it back to that shop since they havent been able to answer any of my questions. and it seems to me they really dont know what theyre doing I have heard alot of complaints about that place from a lot of people. if it was a problem with the fuse wouldnt it be that the lights would not come on at all. also on my other car I have a prestige alarm and when I go to activate the R/S it flashes the lights and chirps the alarm once to let me know its going to start . does the python 1600xp do that? Thanks for all the help if it was'nt for this fourm I would'nt know what to do about this alarm.

well the wire is hooked up right, i dont know why they wont flash for lock and unlock. They should, i have the viper 791 on a taurus and it flashes for lock and unlock.
The only thing is it might be a bad module.
Did you buy the while kit for the responder, the 791 system? If so, switch the modules and program the new one. See what happens.
When activating remote start, the lights will flash once to show confirmation. The siren will not chirp.

I went out and checked it and I found out that it does flash the lights and every thing its supposed to do but I had the "autolamps" on and it doesnt flash them when the headlight switch is set to auto lamps is there a way to have it work with them on? cause its a pretty good convience feature to have the auto lamps on. Other than that every thing does work as you said does your Taurus have autolamps? if it does can you try it or tell me how to wire it so it will. Thanks

my taurus does not have autolamps. Turn off the autoplamps and put the lights on reguarly.
There might be a way, i have to look into it.
or if you want autolamps on, you just do not get the flash.
which wire to you have the parking lights hooked into?
try these
PARKING LIGHTS ( - ) GRAY (-)   @ HEADLIGHT SWITCH or SJB, Connector D, Pin 3, See NOTE *1
PARKING LIGHTS ( + ) BLUE/WHITE (+)   IN DRIVERS KICK PANEL or SJB, Connector A, See NOTE *1
NOTE *1 The SJB (Smart Junction Box) is part of the FUSE/RELAY BOX under the DRIVERS SIDE DASH.

i dont think that it will work because the full headlamps are on.
if you r/s the explorer, with autolamp off, the lights will flash. If you put the hreadlights on manually not autolamp, it should not flash because of the lights being on.
so there is probably no way around it.

Are you using all the accesory wires for remote start? If not you could proabably find the wire feeding power to the autolamp switch circuit and tap it into the accessory wire. Then it would only come on when the key is turned on.
