Hi,

My brother just got a truck that has an Alpine SEC-8027 already installed, though the remote doesn't work and the shock sensor is wayyy to sensitive.... I was wondering if anyone had a copy of any documentation? ie manual, install guide, or anything. I tried to find stuff by google... but couldn't find anything. Also on forum people sent them to personal emails.

Thanks in advance!

HI!  Check if there is a toggle switch to put the remote stater on or off under the dash before saying the remote starter does not work  and for the shock sensor there is alwayls a potentionmeter to adjust the sensitivitise of the shock sensor  !  GOOD LOCK

jacqueslacombe, Nathan didn't mention anything about a remote start rather that his remote didn't work. The impact sensitivity knob is on the side of the CPU where the main harness is attached to right next to the impact sensor plug. As far as the remote control, make sure that you have a new battery and the small LED on the top lights up when any button is pressed.

I cant find the users manual for the 8027 but if you go to alpine's website they have the one for the 8028.  Its under support in the tech center, dont know much about the alpine alarms and how similar this may be, but hopefully it will be of some help.  Good luck

Thank you so much for the replies, and yes I did try alpine. alpinetechcenter.com has info.. though for this model all they have is a 2 page little wiring schematice and feature list. I was hoping someone here would have something of more value to me, like an owners manual or something.

For future reference on Alpine products... it does seem to have a lot of info: www.alpinetechcenter.com
