No luck with the kwi files yet.  I'd stay away from changing the amount of memory in the unit as the main program will probably have to be modified to accomodate the extra memory as all the stack pointers and the memory map would have to be changed.  I did not look to see if the part is a SMT or a BGA either.  The firmware does make reference to a memory card slot.  Anybody know about if a card slot exists inside of this machine or perhaps a open connector for additional memory may be connected through another device?

I know that present memory devices have grown exponentially and outfitting this unit with a gig of memory is now a reality.  Who knows?

Sorry about the seeding guys. I've been having a lot of power outages for the past 3 days that's making my modem go bizerk! I'll continue to seed. The wife is off this week for spring break so I'm going to have to limit my daytime up speed to 40k. At night time it will be an unlimited 2MB though...

I am seeding the west disk.

Here is the datasheet on the processor in the N1. Its not the UPD705103 buts its the same family. There are no datasheets on the UPD705103 that I could find.  I will be working on disassembling some files on the 50Mt version as soon as I can get some time. I would really like to figure out how to disable the lockout as well as read and edit POIs and map data. Anyone that is able the help on this feel free.

As far as I know it should work in the N2. Not sure about the bypass however. Give it a shot. If it doesnt work, downgrade back. Any chance of putting up the CNDV-60M west coast disk on a torrent?

Does anyone have the CNDV-40R discs, or even cndv-20? I'm still using a remote control system (avic-90), and someone sat on my disc, breaking it Modding Avic-N1/N2 Nav DVD’s - Page 18 -- posted image.
