I haven't.  I will before I start making major changes.  I've been thinking about this all day.  I'd really like to keep the original setup, so I will spend a bit more time getting things running correctly before I totally give up...lol...ugg...I hate being a perfectionist...lol...thanks guys, I appreciate all the help!

I had a 2000 Sierra and, if I remember correctly, the rear speakers wires ran on the driver side wiring harness that passes to the outside of the drivers seat. It's real easy to run new wires in that truck with all of the interior plastic being easily removed and replaced. Factory wire is junk anyway.
My wife will never understand why, lucky for her!

have u changed the deck ? b/c the kenwood has a 2 zone button that will shut off the rear speakers also theres no need to run wire and unless somebody has been messing with your car i promise theres no loose connectors also if none of that works try removing the speakers to make sure they arent blown and if need be connect a speaker to the rear output wires from the deck, no signal from the deck then maybe a grounded wire or just bad outputs
the best part of a job is seeing the bumper get smaller over the horizon
