I have purchased two Hifonics TX1005D amps, the amp is a class D 1000 watts single channel. My brother has an amp and subs already in his car. When we removed his amp and placed my amp in his car the power is on the amp but no sound is going to the sub. Is there something missing that this amp needs because his amp is an A/B class amp?

Did you set the gain properly on the new amp?  What's the impedance load?

I did not set anything on the my amplifier I just disconnected his amp and placed my amp in. The amp is one ohm stable, it produces 350watts at 4ohms, 700watts at 2ohms and 1000watts at 1ohm. Do you think I caused some kind of permanent damage to my amp by doing this?
