The second function that was talked about is called autolocks which we generally leave turned off. It is highly anooying as you are most often within proximity of your vehicle. Here at the store if I have autolocks turned on, my truck locks and unlocks all day long as the remote is right on the barrier of the range where it can detect the remote control. It was programmed off originally and should still be off right now.

So passive, what does it do???.....is that basically like the auto Lock, just without the unlock part? As in, the car is off, doors are closed, and i'm such and such range away?

And my ears...let's just say working that night sucked...i had to walk right up to people to hear them :p

Passive means that after a predetermined amount of time with the trigger points closed (ie: doors) and keys out of ignition, the unit will automatically lock the doors and arm. This is also a great way to lock your keys in the vehicle, so turn off the passive function. This is entirely different than the auto function that works on the proximity of the remote to the vehicle.

PS...Don't forget that I'll be in Victoria on Saturday for my appointment with the voodoo machine and the RCMP. I think your buying lunch that day.....haha.
