Notes:

NOTE: Some models have an immobilizer system that needs to be bypassed during remote start.  Use DEI module 555U to bypass.  *1 The driver door module is part of the switch assembly on the door panel.  *2 The ETACS module is attached to the back of the fusebox at the top.  *3 The PCM is under the center console to the right of the gas pedal.  *4 The data link connector is under the steering column.  *5 Vehicles that have the upgraded audio system have an amplifier at each speaker.

As far as books for today's systems, I'm not sure. I am a self taught installer and use trial and error for all my education on all the newer vehicles. I try to research prior to the installation and get as much information about the vehicle as I can. I sent you a link to the installation CD that I have that has alot of the same information that I use to do all my installs with. Drop me a line and if you have any more questions about it I will try to answer them for you.

The two relays are for the door lock/unlock circuit. This is a required connection for this type of system. What you are refering to is the door trigger (-) & (+) and that is totally different than the door lock/unlock circuit.

The internal relays you have only give an alternatinf (-) or (+) trigger current to actuate type A or B door lock systems. This is a type C where you need to cut the wires in half and wire it into two relays that have a (-) trigger from the RS/alarm unit. So, yea, you still need outboard relays for type C systems.
