Location is front of left cylinder head for V6 and at a 4 pin plug at the passenger side valve cover for the V8.  *2 The tan will unlock the drivers door and the gray/black will unlock the passenger door. Wire each as a 5-wire system with separate relays. See direct fax document #1052.  *3 Seperate left and right door triggers, diode isolate.  *4 Bypass module for driver's window and connect directly to motor leads. In passenger door motor wires are dk. blue and brown.  *5 Some models are equipped with a factory alarm. The only way to disarm these alarms is with the factory remote or turning on the ignition. To turn off the factory alarm, 'see direct fax document #1051'.

I also have a 97 camaro. Do you remember how you wired the locks? I am struggling here.

Yes I do.  You need 2 one amp diodes and a single pole double throw relay.  Run one diode from your ORANGE / black unlock wire to the negative unlock wire on your alarm, the stripe on the diode has to be facing the neg. alarm wire(cathode side to neg. alarm wire).  The run your second diode from the 87a (middle terminal) on your S.P.D.T.  relay to the neg. unlock wire on your alarm also with the cathode side to the neg. alarm wire. You will have both cathode sides of the diodes and the neg. alarm wire twisted together.  Terminal 86 on relay, ground, Terminal 30, grey/black off of your B.C.M located on the large 32 pin connector, I believe it is on the blue side and is labeled #11.  Terminal 85 on relay, run to a Reserved Accessroy Power like the 12 volt Acc. wire on your radio.  Terminal 87 is not used in this application.

As for your lock just run the RED / black wire off of the B.C.M. straight to the neg. lock wire on your alarm.  Let me know how it goes and good luck

One more note, This is not a 5 wire system it is a 3 wire system.  I have had people tell me different but they changed systems between 95 and 97.  If you want pictures and good detail on how to install an alarm on your 97 camaro check out http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/alarm.htm
