I have a viper 791xv alarm and remote starter.  Just recently my car has had problems of stalling for no reason what-so-ever.  When i brought the vehicle for repairs they told me that the remote starter was causing the distributer to just stop workin for no reason.  They said they need a schematic of the remote starters hookup but i have been completely unable to find anything.  The company that installed it just said to look on the vipers website, but that was no help.  Does anyone have any idea or a schematic that might help me in my situation.  Thanks

not if there is an intermittent short on the tach wire... i would look under the hook for a violet wire going to the coil or an injector and disconnect it....you can unplug the connector from the RS units brain and then meter it for continuity to ground.... or just run a new wire if thats the suspect circuit......

it's about the only thing i can think of that would cause a vehicle running to drop out for no reason like you describe.....

The biggest problem we have here is people blaming any aftermarket part no matter what happens. I wonder if they really tried troubleshooting or saw the remote start and said... OH! There's the problem
I'm guessing that lt-1 engine has optispark!
three cheers for that reliable system
