The only other one is an injector. Use the uncommon colored one, but then you must program the CD to a 1 cylinder ingine with a medium idle speed.

OK, I have programmed it for 1 cyl and tried all three settings for 1a.1b.1c 2cy; & 3 cyl. It seems to start better on 1b this is what happens though, It starts and runs for about 2 seconds and then shuts off. I am baffled what else could it be?

It looks like I may have almost the same problem. I bought this 270i without the wiring diagram or book and with the help of this site and its members I have it all hooked up. I'm installing it into an 89 Voyager MiniVan when prssing the trunk button it flashes the lights 10 times. The door lock and un\lock work properly . Pressing the start allows the starter to start the vehicle for approx. 1 second then shuts off. With the tach wire installed to the blk/grey at the coil it does this . If I disconnect the tach wire it starts and stays running for 5 seconds with the starter spinning then shuts off. Is there a reset procedure for command start starters that may help ?

Thanks In Advance

You have the wrong tach wire. It should be a gray or gray/black .
