I just installed a BOA 165B and DEI 556U on a 2004 Ford Explorer.  For some reason the 556U conflicts with the second factory key if I attempt to start the truck the traditional way.

No problems at all if I remote start the truck, but when I use the factory key and turn the ignition, it will not starts.

Any suggestions???

What do you have the BLUE wire on 556 going to on BOA?

Sounds about right, your theft light is probably flashing when you try to start it by key. This would show you that the 556U is NOT turning off. It should only come on when the car is remote started. Connect the blue wire to - output durring remote start.

I have the blue wire ( (-) 200mA Status Output) on the Boa connected to the blue wire on the 556U.  What bazzgazm makes sense, but I'm not certain why this problem is occuring since I have the proper wire connections.
