Alright, i just got my Rockford Fosgate punch 700x, but i'm not sure how to give it the signal from my headunit or whatever. I have a 99 grand cherokee w/ the infinity gold premium sound. On my last car, i just used the speaker level inputs from the speakers on the rear deck of the car, but considering all of my jeeps speakers are in the doors, i'm not sure how i'm going to get the signal to the amp. I'd rather not have to go into the back of the radio and mess w/ all the RCA patch stuff, but if that's what i should do, i will. If anyone has a suggestion or the same problem, please help me. thanks a lot.

There should be an OEM amplifier under the rear passenger seat when you fold it up. You can get he speaker wires from this point.

like JEFF said, get the wires at the amp and make sure you tap the wires on the output side of the amp ... best of my knowledge speaker wire colors are as follows

             Driver                             Passenger

light GREEN/                  +                light blue/red          FRONT

lt.GREEN/ dark green   -              light blue/black

WHITE/ violet                 +              WHITE/ violet               REAR

tan/dark green           -                tan/dark green

i know i posted the wire colrs as the same for the rear but that is what my info has for being the color AT the speaker, so if you can find that same color AT the amp the just "pop" the speakers with a battery to test the wires

hey JT...does that amp have speaker level input...because if you're going to tap into any wires for the RCA patch cable adapters it should be done to the wires coming from the head unit, not after the amp.  other wise the signal would already be amplified going into the amp and sound distorted at higher volumes.  the feed from the head unit goes through a coil that lowers the voltage to the RCA's which are low level signals.
It's better to ask a "STUPID" question...than to know a "STUPID" answer. :-)
