For the wait to start/glow plug wire, go to an authorized Compustar dealer with a programmer and they can program in the wait to start time on the CPU.

correct me if Im wrong, but the glow plugs light as soon as the ignition wires are energized. you dont need to connect anything to them. I dont think that truck has a wait to start wire and therefore you need to use the timer function on the alarm for about 15 seconds, or install a timer if the alarm doesnt have that function(programmable).as for the tach, there should be a geen/white wire in a 5 wire harness that has no plug(all wires cut)held to another harness with white tape just behind the fusebox cluster(held in by 4 10mm bolts.hope that helps

behind the fuse box taped up you will see a bunch of wires. In there is a GREEN / WHITE stripe wire. That is your tach wire. Hook it into your tach input of the starter. Tach learn it. I usually max out the timer on the systems I use. Check in your install manual and it should tell you what can be programmed in there for a time delay or if you really have to hook into a wire for the light.

i have had the same problem but since i hook up the tach wire to the green red wire at the alternator and set the unit to alternator sense.  time delay to crank for 20 seconds.  I havent had a problem since and have probably done 20 of those trucks.

ok i got it all situated. i used the tach sensor wire and i also hooked up the 528t   compustar says when you find the right tach wire if you push the tach learn button it should beep one time  mine still beeps 3 times  but the remote start works correctly now.  i had a professional  alarm installer install my alarm and he effed it up and nothing really worked and the remote start didnt work either. so i took it into my own hands and with the help for you guys i got it fixed.  thanks guys  now i dont have to wait in a 20º truck i can let it warm up n walk down to it and be happy =)  all the security features work well with the remote start as well... thank again guys!
