As I am a dealer and I am in Canada, my pricing as compared to what you can get in the USA is entirely different. Find a authorized Eclipse dealer in the US and get a good deal from them. As far as power goes, as small as 50w rms up to 100w rms is going to be more than enough. If these speakers are anything like the previous speakers, you will really enjoy them. (DYohn picked his up from some Canadian guy....)

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

What do you think of the the Nakamichi PA-1002 amp?  It's a 2-channel and is about 2 x 50 Watt RMS at 4 ohms.

Will I need any bass blockers (or the like) to prevent the low Hz from getting to the 5.25" fronts?

Thanks.

... and loves them, although mine have the soft dome tweeters instead of the hard domes on the new sets, which is my preference.  Hard domes will sound brighter... it's simply a matter of taste if you like them or not.  Go give 'em a listen if you can.  $329 USD for the set is a good deal.

As far as bass blockers, I'd say no.  And I really like Nakamichi amplifiers (I own the PA-2004.)  Highly recomended.

Ok, so far so good.

The specs of the SC8355's mid range is: 1-1/23 Speakers in Doors, Advice Needed - Page 2 -- posted image. solid aluminum hard dome

But what is the actual overall diameter of the entire speaker?  I've searched, but can't seem to find the info.
