Im also confused online it says that the mrd-m1005 produces 700 w at 2 ohms at 12 volts while 1000w at 2 ohms at 14.4 v.........if it ran 700 at 2 ohms im pretty sure that would be about the right amount of power....any thoughts on this?

Thanks for clearing that up forbidden.  I just had to ask because it was really bugging me.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

Amp manufacturers list 12 volt and 14.4 volt ratings because when your car is not running the electrical system runs at 12 volts, when it is running you see closer to 14.4 volts. So unless you only listen to your system with the car not running disregard the 700 watt rating.Look if you just be careful turning up your volume and bass eq until you get the second sub you should be fine.
There is no such thing as free installation!
