hi

sorry stevdart , i dint mean to make u feel bad , i just wanted to see the difference if the box would be ported thats all coz , i was any way getting a beter box  . so was not able to decide on what kind of box  .  i think ill just go a head and replace the sub . can any one suggest me a good sub for the same price range ?

how do u think this sub will perform Pioneer TSW2000   http://www.electronicexpress.com/product?prod_id=4563 .  i have an suv and i need good clean bass.

One of my favorites. A Type R will work wonderfully in a fairly small vented enclosure. I believe it requires 1.7ft^3(gross volume) box. I ran one of these in my truck for a couple of months and was very impressed.
Another good one to look at would be an Infinity Kappa Perfect. It's has amazing sq for a very good price.

This Pioneer isn't too bad for the price. The Infinity Kappa Perfect would be a better choice IMO.
