Can I use a relay to take in 5 volts and make it 12 volts? I have a lexus with a 5 volt antenna power wire that I need to run 12volts for aftermarket antenna.

You should be able to find a relay that will work on 5 volts. You will need to find an alternate power supply for the 12 volt circuit since the 5 volts will only be used to actuate the relay.
A look thru the radio shack site indentified a few diffent models that would work for you.

Is the 5v wire the signal wire going to the antenna or does the antenna actually use 5v dc to operate?  If 5v is the signal use a relay with 5v coil.  Then using the normally opened contacts run +12v from that battery to the new antenna.
