How good of an amp is a Pyle 1400 watt?

How good is a Pyle 1400 watt amp? Should I probably get another amp, or will the amp be able to make my 2 750 watt 12" Q Power subs? What kind of an amp is good that will power those that isnt too expensive?  

Sorry to say, but Pyle is grossly overrated.  What are the fuses on the side of the amp?  I don't have any experience with the Q Power subs, but is the 750 the max rating?  All I have to say is that you get what you pay for.That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

It has 20 amp fuses. Also yeah i know Pyle suck but do you think I should get something else. I had a 720watt Pioneer hooked up but i just found out that blew yesturday that's why im using the Pyle. The subs hit hard with the 720 watt amp but not as hard with the Pyle so i know its my amp but maybe its my bridging.

You need to check the way you have the subs wired. You said the  "Pioneer blew " and you also said "maybe its my bridging." If you had the Pioneer amp bridged to an ohm load lower than it should have been, that could be why it blew. Also, it could explain why they "hit harder" with the Pioneer.  I agree the Plye amps are poor quality. Post what type subs you are using ( 4 or 2 ohm, svc or dvc) for example. Also, is the Plye bridgable (to how low of an ohm load)? If you want an amp that is low in cost with decent power, I like the Hifonics Brutus line. '85 Toy

I think the pyle name says it all. Check out your wiring and make sure you have your subs wired to proper load (ohm). I think there are  better choices in entry level equipment, DEI Xtreme line is decent, Crossfire, Pioneer. These I have recent experience with and no trouble. Just my opinion, but make sure its wired right or you'll be trying out lots of amps  the hard way.

I have to agree with supradude.. The Hifonics Brutus line actually offers up some really nice looking and great amps. I actually just installed one in a show Jeep and it really pounded considering the cost of the thing. The greatest part was that it was 1-ohm stable... I love when amps are one ohm stable!!!If your counting pennies and dimes then maybe you shouldn't be spending every penny and dime you have!!

The answer is in the question... It's a Pyle. They USED to be decent (never great) gear, but no longer are they even respectable. Swap-O-Rama specials. HOW MANY fuses are there? Even if there were 4 20 amp fuses, that'd only be 1152 watts in! Is this one of those new magic amplifiers that is over 100% (121% to be exact...) efficient? What model is that so I can go get one! Cool... More out than you put in! Awesome! What I'm trying to say is this: No, they are not good amps, and highly over-rated. I'd expect more on the order of 200 to 300 watts (possibly less), real-world power.It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

So usuallly amps with lower amperage dont make a difference? im not that smart when it comes to audio equip so. I got the Pyle amp with my car when i bought it, along with 2 Orion subs(old). So I dont have a wiring diagram to follow so, and i bought my pioneer amp from someone so i dont have that either so i think im just going to get another one that is going to be powerful enough to power my 2 12' 750 watt Q power(dont know what those are).
