Ok, I have a 5fard MA Cap and I ran 1/0 from the battery's neg and pos to the cap and at idel I am reading 13.9 on the display and when the system starts hitting it stays right around 12.2-12.7. I ran my amps to the ground of the cap. Is this ok? the grounds are about 5ft yes I now a long way for the grounds but, I want to know if that is good enough since I am running 1/0 to the ground block and 4ga to the amps off the same block.

make sure you have done the big 3, make sure you use 1/0 from battery to chassis, and 1/0 from alternator(engin block to chassis).

then you don't need to run long length of 1/0 from battery ground to cap, just cut a 1 foot peice of 1/0 where the cap is and ground it to the trunk or wherever a good ground point is where it's installed. run amps ground to ground on car, not cap... run + 1/0 from battery to cap, and run +amps to +cap
