Vin, check all your connections again. If it worked fine until you went into it again, it's likely you have a poor connection. Check each of the ihnibit wires (leads that cause the remote start to shut down) cold side of brake, hood pin, neutral safety wire (if connected), etc., and check that it has a good tach signal.
~wirewise~ Verify all wiring with your meter before making any connections!

Hey vinh766,

The start then stop that you described sounds like an incorrect tach signal.  If it worked O.K. for a couple of days and now nothing it might have locked out.  The first thing I would check is the ground especially if it's grounded to the column or an under dash brace, it's better to go to kickpad at OEM ground or firewall.  Then re-learn the tach.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

Make sure you check the pin switch on the unit itself and that it is not on TACHLESS sense.

The tach wire for the 1998 Civic is a BLUE wire by the test plug by the driver side fire wall under the hood. Make sure you have the pin switch to TACH sense.
