Hello All,

i recently found that while soldering my connections from my deck to my stock harness that my ground seems to be "bad", when i power on the unit it does not turn on, when using the stock wiring harness ground. But when i grounded it directly to the chassis it turned on.

I read the post in terns of proper ground, and i know a logical answer would be to just make a new ground directly to the chassis, but i was just curious to know on why it would just stop working?  Ive checked fuses, relays nothing ;s

*cold solder* maybe, make sure you heat the wire up enough so the solder absorbs all the way through the wire and stays silver...yellow solder is usally a sign of cold solder....remember you dont need a bunch of solder, just enough for it to absorb all the way through.Hope that helps

Sometimes cars have electrical problems or bad grounds using the stock ground within the radio harness. Your best bet is to ground it to the cars chassis.
