I have the N2 now, and i like it, but im worried that my car being bouncy will lead to problems down the road with it. Is the head unit swappable so i could just buy the D2 and only change that? or do i have to have teh brain taken out too.

and if yes, anyone have a D2 that wants an N2? =p

d2 is one unit, you dont need the n2 brain
There are 10 types of people in the world, ones that understand binary and ones that dont.

If you're going to spend that kind of money, you should just get the Z1 instead... You can do the install yourself with simple hand tools..

yea but either way i have to take out the brain from under the passenger seat and make sure i have all the wires too, and rerun the gps wire and who knows what else.

i like the z1, but with 2 dvd slots i wouldnt need the z1, im not worried about loading times and such, i just want to not have to remove the nav disc all the time. plus this would save me $500ish and relieve the worry of a HDD failure...

then again, if i did get the z1, id want to replace the HDD with WD's scorpion drive, that would be perfect with the shock protection in it. and all that would cost way more then just getting the D2... and having a baby on the way the woman wouldnt be too happy about this lol

Any interest in a Eclipse 5435? I am looking for an N2 because I don't think I'm going to be able to get the eclipse to fit in my dash..
