I have installed many remote switches for amps in the past but today I ran accross a problem, and I was hoping you could help me out.  Heres the situation, I have a toggle switch with three terminals.  I ran a power wire to the battery and placed it on the power terminal.  I ran a ground to the frame and placed it on the ground terminal.  Now the part I dont under stand, I spliced the remote wire together and placed it on the accesory terminal but the amp doesnt kick off.  The light on the switch goes on and off but not the amp.  Any suggestions, thanks.

When you spliced the remote wire did you put both ends on the same terminal? If you did then the toggle isnt going to break the connection.

If you want it lighted (when on) try hooking  the side from the deck to the power input and the side from the amp to the accesory. ground to ground. I believe its just an led so it should be fine.
