Ford Contour doorlock issues

Installed an Ungo RK1 remote start/keyless this past winter. Don't remember the year of car, but it was a Ford Contour. Locks were either (-) or (+) pulse. Lately, when they unlock via the remote, or the interior switch, it immediately locks the doors again. I unplugged the lock molex from the unit, and then locks work fine. Plug it back in, does the same as before. Faulty unit?

I swapped out the hardware, left all wiring intact, and it works fine now. I have to say, this is probably the first DEI piece I've ever seen go bad in 13 years.
