i have read conflicting stores on how to hook up the blue/green wire when in manual mode(BLACK/ green left unconnected) the manual says "Find the one wire near the emergency brake that carries +12V when the emergency brake is engaged and 0V when it is disengaged. Connect the BLUE/GREEN wire to this wire...." to me this means this wire needs 12v for the unit to activate........BUT i have read other posts that say "yes, blue/green park brake wire must see ground in order to enter 'manual safe start'." http://www.carsound.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60608&page=2

so which is it  can someone please clarify this

For manual transmittion cars:
BLACK/ green: not connected
blue/green: handbrake/emergency brake. wire should show ground when the brake is engaged and 12v when released.
It must see ground to allow the car to start
It must see 12v+ to shut it down
