Well the online site you got it from has wrong info. Go on line at the official bazooka website and check for yourself.

looks like i got to get a new amp...dammit

would a pioneer 5200t two channel amp be good?

Yeah that amp should work out just fine. My friend has that amp but an older model hooked up to 2 Boston Acoustic G2 10's and it pounds pretty clean. The gain on his amp is only turned up to where it says recommended on the amp.
