I am doing my first fiberglass project. I kind of jumped into it. I am redoing my Radio Bezel. The first batch of resin I mixed up, I used too much hardner, as it harden in minutes. So the next couple of batches, I started to get really stingey with the hardener. Now its been 24 hours and its still not cured all the way. Can I just get the pure hardener and lightly brush it over too speed it up?? or do I just have to wait it out?? Thanks in advanced

try using a hair dryer or a heat gun if that don't work you'll probly have to start from square 1

you can do a batch with double hardner in it and apply it very quickly over the tacky resin if the heatgun fails, halogen worklights will also generate heat that you can use in drying resin.

not enough hardner. go to www.selectproducts.com and get your self a mekp dispencer so that you will not have that problem again. it is rought i forgot the percentages but if you use 500 millileters you use 5 cc's which is 1% sorry if i get the numbers wrong but the resin can should have a mixing chart on it to tell you the percentages. 5 cc's is the first line on the dispenser cup. plus your probably using a bondo, branded resin so from experience there is so much better. and newer. check out www.selectproducts.com for resin there stuff works great and it gives you when mixed right a lot of working time.

go by the instructions on the resign for mixture. try putting it outside if its sunny if its been 24 hrs your in trouble.

Thanks guys for the help. I am using bondo resin, and I think im going to get some better resin from that site. I live in Texas, and its 100 degrees outside, so i put it out there and finally after 4 hours outside, it cured. Thanks again.

Once I put a center console out to dry... It rained while I was at work. I came back home to a soggier mess that what i started with. There is a god, making my life miserable makes him laugh.

malibu- I am in Dallas. azn- that sucks man, It doesnt rain too much here so hopefully it wont happen to me. LOL
