o.k, my amp is a digital audio hc 1 ohm stable 2 channel amp. with three dvc twelves the ohm load is about 0.8 if i disconnect one of the coils the load goes up to 0.9. if i disconnect one sub the load goes up to a 1.1 ohm load. wich would be better for my amp. with out a power cap and this amp bridged the power draw, would it damage my by the constant power drop.

How did you get a .8 ohm load from (3) DVC subs ?? Don't you get a .66 ohm load from (3) DVC 4 ohm subs ?? Just curious that's all. Personally, I would not run this amp at that low a resistance because it will run for about 5 minutes before going into protection mode. Why not run the system like this at a 2.66 ohm load ??:

You are right, the ohm load I would get would be a 0.66, that is what I thought. But my multi meter shows a 0.8 to 0.9, I chose to run the amp one channel with all the like terminals wired together. My amp did play for about five minutes before the fuses blew, when it was bridged set to a low resistance. would a power cap help in any way.

No, a capacitor will only feed subsiduary power to the amp, but the resistance will not change witht he subs wired in parallel. The reason why your DMM read .8 to .9 is because the ohms is not stable during play. It will rise & fall quite substantially from .66 to 1.0 but the duration of this resistance is the key ! It's only at a certain resistance for a fraction of a second and then changes again according to the music and the amp & the charging system of the audio system.

thanx alot, I really do appreciate the time all you guys take in answering all of my questions, I use your tips when i trouble shoot or  purchase/ install my own sound once again thank all of those who take the time in helping us little guys.

When ever I test the ohm load with my DMM my subs are out of my vehicle completely disconnected from any power source. The ohm holds at 0.8, with one coil disconnected it is 0.9, before it would show a 0.66 load. I don't know why this happens but that is what the DMM shows.

This amp (digital audio DA275HC 4ohms @12.5v 2x75w, 2ohms @ 12.5v 4x150w 1ohm 12.5v 2x300w) is good but I am currently shopping for an orion amp that my wife says is in my budget. I hear that they can handle really low ohm loads. are there any other amps that can do the same job as orion amp with a lessor price?

This wireing diagram that you have shown me works great. It sounds good with this set up so I'll leave it like this(until I get another bigger amp). I have tried this before with another amp and it didn't sound as good. I guess the power wasn't there. Once again thanks alot.
