A friend of mine wants me to install an amp in his 06 Pontiac G6 GTP Coupe with the factory monsoon system . He's keeping the stock headunit and just wants to add an amp and sub to it . I know I need a Line Out converter so I can run RCA's but I'm not a 100% sure how to connect it . Can I just tap onto the rear speaker wires or is it more involved ?

yes, you can tap off the rear speakers, or you could get them from behind the factory hu. it's really up to you and doesnt really make much of a difference where along the wire you get the signal from.

monsoon usally means an amp in the car. Your goal is to find the factory amp and then grab your rear speakers for the LOC after the amp. good luck
