I don't see the problem. The alarm is working, you did say it was turned on.
You are opening the vehicle when the alarm is armed and then you are surprised when the alarm goes off. You should have your trunk protected, the trunk trigger tagged, and you should disarm your alarm to get into the vehicle regardless. Trunk pop should only shunt the -instant trigger, not the shock sensor, and that is only for a certain amount of time.

fellas... if for example if i leave the car to go to the store then i come back and want to put someting in the trunk i shouldnt have to first unarm the car..... as soon as i close the trunk the alarm goes off.... i believe that the viper system is smart enoght to know to disengage the alarm if the trunk is open or closed during the car being armed especialy if its being done by the remote....

Wow. I have never heard of such a way of "thinking" I dont think you understand the point of an alarm, f550. If the vehicle is armed, that means that any tampering with the vehicle should set off the alarm. Thats the point of having the alarm isnt it? This includes opening any doors. You absolutely should and must unarm the car before opening the trunk. Its just common sense.

mine is that way but i ahve the python 1600xp the car can be armaed but i can pop the trunk and it wont set off the alarm, then afteri close the trunk the trunk becomes aramed again, but everythign eles is armed. for as long as i can remeber all DEI are this way, im not sure if the shock sensor is still on or not i dont slamed the trunk close, i will go out and see what happens.
to fix your problem dont slam the trunk close, to enter the car you have to disarm form remote.

well to fix your problem and to answer your question. The only 2 ways of "fixing" your problem that i see would be to unarm the car before opening the trunk or removing your shock sensor.
