why should we be kidding?  and i do agree discovery channel would have been better.
No, I was referring more to the "Jesse James" comment, I know you said he could have been 5150azn. I can list a handful of people that are much more qualified and don't sell out to a stupid show. Dave Rivera or Steve Brown to name a few.
There are many on this site that can do better "show car" installations that actually can still be driven and functional, Jeff and Rob to name a few here. I don't mean to leave anyone out but they are the most prevalent.
Take it however you would like, it is my opinion.

I just ask that you guys don't confuse the installer's work with the type of work that the customer(mtv) is requesting. If you've seen any of WCC's real installations you would know what I mean.
REMY hahaha now thats a guy I have no props for. doo dee doo lets put the same box into everything and call it custom. lol
Plus, Mike is the boss anyway. Bosses don't work. But if he did choose to work. He could do some pretty nifty work.
Let me add an LOL for the Fishman too.
What do you say we petition SEMA to have "THE BEST INSTALLER" competition instead of that team competition they got.
Tell the Snap-On guy I'm not here!

You have my vote
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

I don't know how feasible it would be to replace the installer challenge with the best installer. 1 person simly cannot build a show quality vehicle in 48 hours. The point of installer challenge is to allow people to see what and how installs can be done.

I agree with auex.  A car of that caliber cannot be done by one person in that short amount of time.  Plus, it shows how verstatile installers are: work with people you may have never met doing different tasks to achieve a common goal in the end.  How many of us know highly skilled installers that are horrible working with others?  I know I do.

they should do it like the biker build off. do it by the shop and give them a week or two and see what they can do. now pimp my ride is over the top but thats what mtv mants. the guys at WCC are pros, othjerwise people would not let them work on ther 100,000 plus cars they do good work, thats is why mtv picked them. i have seen some of there work and it is top notch

I think some people need to read this thread...
Words of wisdom, from wirewise, one of our beloved moderators!
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
