I'd say go to a local shop...I don't like CC's installs...They made my friends ground wire like 4 inches long so if the box even moves the wire rips outta the amp...And I know ground wires in all kits are longer than that. I just think they want your money.

look in the installer database on this site and find a installer local to you,     if it is just a person with knoledge of installations then you might get an even better price, or list where you are located and I bet someione will chime in and let you know of a good shop.

I know most big box stores( i work at best buy), won't install used wires. So they probably did quote you for some new wires.

It's going to be just like going to a mechanic for the most part. You buy parts from them, you get better hourly. You bring in parts, it costs more.
