alright when i turn the volume up, the factory speaker volume goes up, I could only turn them up to around 20 without the factory speakers cutting out, I didnt want to turn it up to 3/4 volume (30) risking blowing my factory speakers.

I dont get the dissing either...it took us over 2200 watts per subs to pop a L7 this weekend.    I will have to post some pics we shattered the cone!! haha
The kickers can be a very musical clean sub if put in the correct box, and the kicker speced boxes are very close for any vehicle.
The l7s as long as not clipped all the time will take tremendous amounts of power, but clipping them will destroy them in litle to no time.
We have destroyed a pair in less then 10 seconds with a horribly cliped signal.    But also ran another pair for well over 100 burps at over 2000 real watts of power for a very clean signal.   Setup is everything~!
Im sorry I didnt have time to reply, I have been judging USACi shows all weekend and been out of town until now
I think the gain is the first culprit,   I would suggest if you are having trouble setting it with your internals then set your gain at where you are confortable listening to your internals.   If your internals are distorted then you will never be that loud anyways or will you?

most of the kx600.1 amps ive seen have a minimum of 700 watts on the birth certificate.  Usually around 730 or so.  I like to over power my subs a bit but thats at least 250 watts more than the subs rated rms power handling.   I cant say for sure but ive been told that this years L5 arent as tough as years past.  Is there any way to get a 12" in your truck?
