i have a customer that wants to add a pioneer z-1 to his 2005 porsche boxster but i need to know if it is fiberoptic and if there is any special parts needed. he doesnt want to have to replace everything, just swap head units. i figured if its as easy as a harness job with maybe a line converter its not a prob. but like i said he doesnt want new speakers or amps. any knowledge would help.

thanks

If its fiberoptic you can check into Peripheral as they were suposed to be launching a integration piece for the fiber optic systems out there. Its worth a peek

i was thinking that the higher end porsches might be fiber optic but i was doubting that the boxter was. im sure i could figure it out pretty quick but my boss was asking me and i didnt get to see it myself when it was here. but i will check out peripheral and see what they have.

thanks
