if they are in the door like the 05 s60, u gotta drill out the plug between thats on the door where the wires go in.. Make sure that when u put the plug back in it snaps into place, we had one that didnt snap in fully and would get a check engine light for a bad temp sensor in the drivers mirror.. fixed the plug reset the check engine light and it was all good.. the dealership the car went to even offered to make space for me to go there and fix it if i wanted.. first positive experience with a dealership and remote starts ever

In past, I work for a Volvo dealer, in Canada, but in 2004 is imposssible to do a remote start in this car.

For doorlock if you don't have this unit : CAN-SL, made by Fortin, is impossible to hook up doorlok in this car ...
