hi. i am a new here. i just found this site, then i hopefully will get some help here.

i just installed viper 800esp in my '91 thunderbird sc, but the door lock system isn't working right now. the security system is working, and trunk hooks up, too, but the door lock system. i wired with type c in installation guide. then the door lock switch is working with it, so that means i installed it correctly, right? and i got '91 firebird, and she got clifford one, and that system got auto-armed system. does the viper 800esp have that system? because mine is not doing it. if anybody knows about it, please help me out. thank you very much.

Did you choose the proper polarity for the Viper system to trigger the relays ?

my car doesn't have relay for door lock. so as i said i installed it with type c in installation guide. i cut the wires, and the lock wire from driver side goes to the module, then the wire from the module goes to passanger side lock. and the unlock wire goes to the module, then the wire from the module goes to the passanger unlock like that. well, now the remote door lock system isn't working, un.... it's okay, but i mostly need the remote lock system, you know. anyway, i think i'm doing good with it. if i'm not, please tell me. thank you.

and i think it got Custom configure memory seats and mirrors. anybody knows how can i do with it? thank you.

from the 800ESP the doorlock wires should be:

WHITE/ black = LOCK switch side

GREEN/ Black = LOCK motor side

BROWN / Black = UNLOCK switch side

Blue/Black = UNLOCK motor side

Violet/Black and Violet = 12v constant w/15amp fuse

Maybe the fuse is blown, as they will still work from the switch if it is.

I'd probably use 2 of the extra channels for the seats and mirrors.

thank you for your post, alarm tech. yeah, the problem that i found yesterday is the fuse with violet wire. now the system works great. installed viper 800esp, but lock system won't work -- posted image.

and i am thinking the same thing about the seats and mirrors, but how can i do? do you know how i can do with it? if so, please tell me about it. thank you.

There ya go! :) but why did it blow?

i really have no idea how the seats and mirrors work, your gonna need a schematic and start testing wires. once you know the functions of the wires needed, then you can set-up relays and program the channels appropriately.
