Hello,
I'm writing an article for a major national magazine on Bluetooth car kits and wanted to speak to installers to get their impression of several products - how well they work, etc. All off the record, background research. If anyone is interested, please let me know.
Best,

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your reply. I'm talking about Bluetooth units that are professionally installed for making mobile calls (where the incoming voice is heard through the car speakers). Companies like Parrot and Motorola make them. Do you have any experience with them?

In terms of a basic kit, no bells/whistles etc try Smoothtalker. They have charging cradles for the Razr and other models. I use the Razr cradle with my Parrot and am very pleased.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. I have over 10 years experience in Hands Free installations. I am very familiar with bluetooth systems such as the parrot line and motorola line of products.

Would you recommend Motorola or Parrot (in general) in terms of ease of use and the quality of the product? Of those two manufacturers - which models do you recommend?

I would recommend the Parrot line, in particular the CK3100. They have a wider range of compatibility with the bluetooth phones that are available. I do like the motorola IHF 1000 for its voice activation capability. The controller is a little on the flimsy side, people who have "heavy" push button fingers will soon find that the controller will break easily.

the parrot pieces are the easiest to use.......big bright display, command feedback you dont have to use voice command (which alot of people complain about)....I think the parrot is a super piece
