Can someone give me a wiring diagram of the plug itself so that I know what all the wires are? I know the door trigger ones but this car had an alarm previously and has wire taps on about six of those wires.

The green one at the driver's kick panel.

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks, I have that listing. I was really intrigued by the green plug and what each wire was for though.

But, maybe you know why the rear door trigger, GREEN / WHITE, at that plug has 12 volts until the door is opened? The front doors are neutral until opened and then go ground. Why is the rear different?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

it doesnt get a ground(12v-neg) until door open. theres nothing diff bt the front and rear, besides that they have diff triggers.
use diode to isolate the triggers.

None of those wiring charts answer mcloop's original question.
You can do most or even all of a basic alarm at the factory alarm plug, if you want.
I don't know any of the wiring there.......I always just test all the wires until I find what I want......although the wire colors listed in the charts above will probably be of some help.......the colors might be the same at the factory alarm plug.
At that factory plug, if you test all the wires and take notes, you can find the following:
constant
ignition
ground
horn
door trigger(s)
trunk trigger
negative-trigger parking lights
maybe negative-trigger headlights; i can't remember
doorlock MOTOR wires (for installing a factory-keyless-upgrade alarm)
You cannot find the regular lock and unlock wire there, although they are super-easy to grab attached to that silver metal bracket, just above the driver kick panel.

Thanks Chris, I'll just check them and take notes. I just thought someone would have them handy.  You know, I had to try the easy way first. 02 Civic Factory Alarm Plug -- posted image.
