It actually doesn't have a cigarette lighter, he has the cig location on the dash but no plug. And there is nothing inside it causing it to ground out there.

Someone suggested before, going to the fuse panal for dedicated power....That gets my vote as well!

He is not trying to find a spot for dedicated power, but now trying to find the location of short.

Correct, unfortunetly i can't just keep on looking for it. I tried everything and I'm pretty sure that there was nothing i did. So what I'm going to do now is just let the guy know and if it was something i did(can't see that happening) we would pay for it. He understood i mean i hooked only 6 wires so I'll have to see how this turns out.
