i think you missed one of the cool features of this alpine mrd-m1001 , while your tweeking the the amp it adjusts it self by blinking the display which indicates it matched the head unit voltage output , after that you can start tweeking the freq, bass boost , phase and the rest ...

it's fully digital amp , really cool
