Ha, good one... Just go to the ign switch and starrt testing.. you shouldn't need any type of manual bypass because there shouldn't be a clutch bypass you should have a ign wire starter wire and an accy wire and 12v at the ign switch as for the alarm if it has door pins (they should go to ground when the door is open) if it doesn't have them you can get self threading ones to get a door trigger, the same with the hood and engin decklid. If ya need anthing else hollar.. It should be pretty simple..

Don't give up, Get out you DVOM and test the wire's. You should have all the wire's to hook up a basic alarm. I already hooked up alarm with keyless entry to a 1970 Ford ecololine clubwagon and that was easy.

aren't all karmen ghia's the air cooled h4's? i have build a few dune buggies and KNOW the wiring isn't hard, it all depends on how hard it is to start, do you gotta feather the gas to get it started?
