Im doing a Hornet 564t remote start and I dont have 12+ from my pink/white 2nd ignition.  The truck starts but the ABS, BRAKE, and CHECK ENGINE light come on.  I noticed that the satellite relay wire locations differ from the manual, reference guide, and the actual relay.  What is my problem?  The RED / WHITE and the PINK/WHITE are backwards and the RED / WHITE is supposedly for extra 12v+ and not fused but it already is.  I  suppose I could test the RED / WHITE and see if it sends 12v+ but that would require a drive accross town.  Does anybody have a satellite handy that they can verify?

that is weird. hornet is made by dei and i haven't seen any that are backwards. you need to get a manual and use the wires as they are pinned rather than colored. i know that on an actual dei alarm the reds are right beside one another and the pink and pink/white are right beside one another. good luck and hope this helps a little.

I have the manual and there are several typos in it.  Ive done several of these and this is the first to use "2nd ign.".  The first part of the manual that describes each harnass states

1 purple

2 green

3 red

4 orange

5 pink

6 red

7 pink/white

8 RED / white

The "reference guide" in back of manual and the actual physical relay is as follows..

1 purple

2 green

3 red

4 orange

5 red

6 pink

7 RED / white

8 pink white

those are both correct. fiirst part and the refrence guide. check to see that the heavy gage wires match up in the harenss. from realy pack to the RS harness. maybe a wire got put in wrong. the RED / white shold be a botton and the pink/white shold be at top.
also may look at the ribbion harness. going to have to do test with a meter.

So i just reviewed a previous install of the same alarm and I found that  the Satellite relays are a bit different.  Old relays have the heavy gauge wires in a harnass opposed to this one that has the leads coming directly out of the relay.  The RED / white wire is looped back into the harnass opposed to this one where the RED / white wire is already fused and stripped at the end.  Did DEI produce a new manual and/or change wire colors?  What is the best way to solve my problem, jump the ign1 to the ign2 or jump the relay input wires?

What do you currently have the RED / white wire connected to?

nothing. I don't have the vehicle and I don't want to waste the customers time. I'm hoping to be able to correct this in one shot and send him on his way
