I tried searching the forum but couldnt really find a definitive answer.

My budget for a remote starter is $100 which i plan to install myself.

Without doing any research i really like the bulldog deluxe 500, but after searching this site i leaned that they are horrible (does anyoen have experiences with this 500 model?). One thing i really like about it is the lcd remote but if its not reliable i ofcourse wont get it.

Im very open to suggestions and would appreciate if someone would give me some ideas for a good remote starter for under $100 (for the most part ive realized which ones are good and which ones arent, but all the good ones people recommend seem to be very expensive).

So suggestions anyone?

My preference is DEI, however they will not warranty a DIY job. I have done several Scytek units and have yet to have one come back for any reason at all. The company is DIY friendly, and list all of their installation manuals right on their website. This site is showing a Galaxy Astra 1000(Scytek) for $70.
Just another opinion to throw in the mix.

Is it worth paying the extra money for a compustar 1WAM-S or will a dei 561r do just as good of a job?

Also....The first ebay link you gave me...it seems like some unknown company..so are you saying its good?

I have had pretty good luck with Design Tech products.I have installed quite a few of em and have had no problems. They can be bought at Advance Auto parts and Autozone.I think the model with starter and keyless entry runs about $80.

DEI is good stuff, compustar is good stuff, Automobility basic 1 way units are fine as well. All 3 are good in my book and all 3 will be around the same price for approx the same features. For DIY I think the compustar would be best as they are the easiest to program
